More talk about the ideas of being and becoming and how society to day is focused on becoming. I don’t nessicarily think its a bad thing to always be in a state of becoming. We discuss regularly the journey and how the journey is important, and I fully agree with this. And that becoming is the journey and is what we should focus on. But then again, the basic ideas of becoming have become so extrapalated into negative things. As in the consumer basis, and who you are is what you buy. (I also wrote this before you said it). So then the essence of becoming is lost and it is negative, as becoming is suposed to be about self growth and self understanding, but it is not about that at all anymore. I feel as if I should have a better understanding of psychology and sociology so I can delve into the human psychi and understand the reasons for the things we do on a daily basis. And in a way the crooked idea of becoming is what runs our society with consumerism and ideals of beauty. So just a thought here, but maybe we should try to revert to a state of being, and accept the people we are.
